Converting Relationships into Revenue
Founder, Sage Ivy Consulting
JD, Syracuse University College of Law
I’m Sejal (pronouned Sage-l), a Rainmaking Consultant based in New York. I help attorneys turn relationships into revenue—without selling their soul or faking their way through awkward networking.
With over 20 years of experience—including time inside Big Four firms like Deloitte—I’ve worked across litigation, corporate, white collar, and regulatory practices. I know how law firms operate, what clients expect, and what actually moves the needle.
But let’s back up.
I started this work in 2003.
And for two years, I failed. I held 800 meetings and didn’t land a single client. The breakthrough came when someone finally told me:
“Be yourself. That’s who people want to work with.”
That wasn’t a motivational quote—it was a strategy shift. I stopped performing, started listening, and built the foundation for the work I do now: designing custom rainmaking strategies for attorneys who are overlooked, underestimated, or tired of trying to fit into someone else’s mold.
At Sage Ivy, I don’t give scripts. I don’t hype. I build systems—structured, strategic, and tailored to how you think, how you work, and how you want to grow.
I work directly with attorneys to:
My clients are women, first-gens, introverts, and attorneys of color who want power—not permission.
I’ve consulted with Am Law firms and high-performing boutiques, contributed to Above the Law, presented at the Practising Law Institute, and been a featured guest on The Jabot podcast. I also lead a signature workshop, Authentically You: Clients, Credibility, and Confidence, at conferences, bar associations, and firm retreats. It’s direct, interactive, and built for attorneys who want to make rain without selling out.
Whether you’re a firm leader looking to invest in talent—or an attorney who’s ready to stop waiting for waiting to be picked—
I’m here to build the strategy behind your next power move.
If you’re done waiting for permission—and ready to make rain—
let’s talk.
